Educational Materials

The Forge offers students in public and private schools from middle school through university level an opportunity to engage in residencies of varied lengths and intensities. Here’s an idea of how a one-day residency would work:

  1. Clinic– The Forge offers their expertise on growing as musicians with demonstrations of and interaction regarding personal practice, breathing, and elements of music that apply to all instrumentalists. The clinic will showcase the musicians of The Forge in an up close and personal atmosphere where students can see and learn how things go together and then ask questions of all the ensemble members.
  2. Student Rehearsal(s)– The Forge will invite band students to join them onstage at the evening performance. Typically, a high school or middle school band will perform one piece each with The Forge. Rehearsals with each group will take place during the day.
  3. Public Concert– Epic Tunes Recast In Brass, A Salute to Classic Rock is a trip back in time to the era of feedback, screaming fans and face-melting guitar solos with the music of Led Zeppelin, Queen, David Bowie, the Beatles and many more!

Residencies may be expanded to 2 and 3 days and will include opportunities for break-out sessions and lessons with each member of The Forge.
